Best Wedding Venues in London for 2022

Looking for the best wedding reception venue in London? Our guide to the best wedding venues in London for 2022 is what you need.

If you’re looking to get married in the English capital then you’re totally spoilt for choice when it comes to the perfect venue. As one of the largest cities in Europe, London has a plethora of quaint traditional wedding venues alongside some of the trendiest modern options anywhere in the world.

With our London Hatton Garden store just around the corner, we’ve wandered around the city and trawled the latest industry publications to pick our top London wedding venues for 2022.

The Foundling Museum

The beautiful Foundling Museum is tucked away in a leafy corner of Bloomsbury and features two historic rooms that are both licensed for ceremonies. The opulent Court Room offers one of the finest examples of Rococo interiors in central London with an 18th century staircase that provides the perfect backdrop for memorable photos.

What’s more, all couples who tie the knot at the Foundling are rewarded with lifetime memberships to the museum so they can revisit whenever they want!

Dartmouth House

This elegant 16th-century house is situated right in the heart of Mayfair and features an enclosed courtyard that offers a sense of privacy on the big day. Catering for up to 450 people, Dartmouth House is one of the premier wedding venues in central London.

Home to a series of beautiful gardens, there are plenty of photo opportunities to be found throughout the venue. These gardens also play host to some of the finest receptions to be had anywhere in the capital.

Strawberry Hill House

South-west London plays host to a bounty of options when it comes to wedding venues but our favourite is the wonderful Strawberry Hill House. The gothic beauty of the house shines through and remains the lasting legacy of Horace Walpole, 18th-century writer, politician and architect.

With a stunning profile that features pinnacles, battlements and a round tower, this has to be one of the most unique wedding venues in the London area. We think it’s the perfect choice for anyone looking for an idyllic white wedding.

Kew Gardens

One of the most popular and well known tourist attractions in London is the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew. If you’re looking for the ultimate botanical setting, there really are few better in the capital than Kew. Within the wider gardens, you’ll find the Prince of Wales Conservatory and Cambridge Cottage, which both provide elegant settings that are perfect for tying the knot.

The natural light and boutique chic of the setting is sure to stun guests and create a lasting impression. Weddings at Kew have been taking place for many years and we certainly expect to see their popularity continue in 2022.

The Brewery

Despite its generic name, the venue is anything but. Set within what was a brewery from 1750 - 1976, this multi-purpose venue is now one of London’s trendiest and most diverse wedding venues.

Weddings with personality shine through at The Brewery and with a choice of spaces to use depending on the size of your party, you won’t be short of options.

Chiswick House

Another beautiful period property that makes our list for 2022 is Chiswick House. The 18th-century grand villa has played host to weddings for hundreds of years so you can feel a part of history should you choose to hold your wedding here.

Surrounded by beautiful Italian-inspired gardens, Chiswick House itself can host up to 90 guests for a civil ceremony or 120 guests for a reception. For larger parties, The Conservatory or Garden Pavillion can be used where up to 220 guests can be accommodated.

Searcys at the Gherkin

For a truly special day then head up to the dizzying heights of levels 39 & 40 at the world famous Gherkin building. Surrounded by 360° views of London’s iconic skyline, starting your journey together at Searcys offers one of the most distinctive wedding experiences the capital has to offer.

The exclusive event spaces are licensed for civil ceremonies and can host up to 140 guests. Cocktail receptions can be held for up to 260 guests.
